Black Belt Presentation skills
Course information: This workshop will take a structured approach to preparing for a talk, presentation or leading a meeting.
The course is designed to give delegates the confidence and skills to make effective presentations that will be remembered.
Preparation is vital and our course covers objective setting, planning the content and structure of a presentation, and how to make your presentation memorable - including the effective use of visual aids. The most effective methods for getting messages across through the use of body language, tonality, and handouts will be covered in great depth.
As with all Maverik courses there is a heavy focus on practical work, ensuring that all situations are dealt with. The training is performance targeted and concentrates on the development and practise of skills rather than simply a presentation of concepts.
This 3-day course is split into 6 Modules, which have direct links to each other. On day 1 delegates look at the importance of the 3 P's - Planning, Preparation and Practise.
The importance of planning is stressed with an out line of what the needs to be prepared and how best to do it. At this stage we help you to think on your presentation from the audience's point of view.
During day 2 we cover styles and techniques of presenting. Here we help delegates to find and develop their own style, rather then imitate others. We also cover the golden rules of presenting: you're appearance, enthusiasm, sincerity and how to use your voice to the full advantage.
On day 3 we cover the use of visual aids, hand outs and how to handle questions and answers. This demonstrates When, Where, Why and How presenting aids can help. At the end of the course each delegate will give a presentation encompassing all the topics covered.
